Dogs + Easter Weekend = Walkies

Easter Weekend is a wonderful time to spend some quality moments with your family and friends, but when planning your weekend why not include your furry friend. Go for a walk in your nearest dog friendly park, chose a pub where dogs are welcome and and take some extra time for a good play of fetch or tug of war, maybe that could be their "Easter Egg".

It's fun to discover new places too, drive to Abney Park, Epping Forest, Clapham Common, or even the wonderful Richmond Park and let your dog show you around. Obviously, be a responsible dog owner, and follow Park Keepers' advice (clearly sign posted) about Deer. If your dog is called Fenton beware. See Video Here

If you decide to go towards Richmond Park, here are a few dog friendly places I love to visit:

The Crown, for gorgeous food, the Roast is amazing, 174 Richmond Road, Twickenham, TW1 2NH www.crowntwickenham.co.uk

The White Cross, great food, beautiful views over the river, and super friendly, Riverside, Richmond, TW9 1 TH www.thewhitecrossrichmond.com

When driving to Richmond Park, a good place to park is Roehampton Gate. There is a lovely Cafe there (sadly no dogs inside) but if the weather is nice they are welcome on the outside deck. From there walk towards the small river, cross the bridge and enjoy...

On Saturdays & Sundays (including Easter Sunday) visit the Duck Pond Market in Heron Square TW9, where you'll find lovely baked breads (for Easter Monday Breakfast), cakes and gorgeous Street Food along with Artisan Crafts, gifts, vintage, homewares and clothing. (a real test for lead training - your dog might pull you from one stall to the next).
